Calliope’s Treasures is a family business that we started after years of frustration at the world becoming more and more corporate. We decided we wanted to do better.

We were saddened by the closure of so many unique businesses in our area. It was difficult to find bookstores, toy stores, baby supply stores, and Christian supply stores. There was nowhere in town where we could hold and flip through a book before we bought it. We had no option but to order those things online, and if we aren’t careful that will soon be the only way to shop for many items.

The thought of a handful of huge companies that are generally known to mistreat their employees and source products made in sweatshops being the only ones left standing is disappointing.

We want to create something different, something special. We believe in putting people first, not profit. We believe in quality and reasonable prices. We are striving to be a company where customers and employees alike are highly satisfied. We strive to provide unique gifts in every price range for every customer.
